Cursed by a witch, selfish Sweet Lolita Ichika is followed everywhere she goes by a strange doll. When the doll murders Ichika’s best friend Tomomi, Ichika realizes the doll is alive and tries to warn others but no one believes her. Now Ichika must undo the curse to save her live before the doll claims another victim.

Q: What is this movie about?
A: Cursed Forever is about a girl who gets followed around by an evil doll. Think Twilight Zone meets Mean Girls.
Q: Why did you make the movie in Japan?
A: I like Japanese movies and pop culture and wanted to try to shoot a movie in a foreign country and see what’s happens and if I can do it.
Q: What were some of the challenges you faced while making Cursed Forever?
A: Raising money and financing the movie was the hardest part. I paid for everything out of my own pocket and having to go months without eating properly was tough.
Q: Do you speak Japanese?
A: Not really. I knew a few words and phrases, enough to get food and survive but not enough to have a full conversation.
Q: Did the cast and crew all speak English?
A: The crew all spoke English and they’re from all parts of the world. The Japanese cast for a the most part did not speak English. The script was in Japanese so they understood the story and scenes and to the actors credit they all did try to speak and understand English. Additionally by luck the actors I cast were all experienced and very professional, they sort of understood what I was trying to do. Lastly I did always have someone on set that was bilingual.
Q: Why a horror movie?
A: Horror movies are very lose and don’t have to follow film rules as close as a drama or action movie. The low budget look of a independent movie can add to the horror or style of a scary movie.
Q: What’s the future hold for you and Cursed Forever
A: Well the ultimate gold is to acquire some sort of distribution for the movie, and to get it played in as many movie theater as possible. As for me I plan on working on another horror film in Japan about a killer computer.
