Tambadi Mati (1969)

Taani is a young widow who is constantly troubled by a village miscreant. Wrestler Hanma’s mother wants to get Taani married to her son. But Patil is also keen on getting his daughter Harini married to Hanma. At one of the wrestling match, Hanma loses everything and he vows to come back to village only after restoring his reputation. Hanma’s mother approaches Patil to lend some money to her son. Patil promises to give money only if she assures Taani’s separation from Hanma. The film won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi, 1969.
