During one of Shivayya's spiritual discourses, a murder takes place. A wealthy and powerful man murders his wife, who was having an extramarital affair. Shivayya is asked to lie in the witness stand during the court case. When he refuses and states the complete truth while under oath, the powerful murderer manipulates evidence, blames Shivayya for being an accomplice in the murder and has him convicted of a crime he did not commit. Unable to bear this injustice, Shivayya passes away of a broken heart. Abhimanyu and his mother are left to fend for themselves.
