Adavadi (2007)

Dark and disturbing, this tragic love story intricately depicts the twisted relationship between a troubled, but immensely talented movie director and a debutante actress. Bharath (Sathyaraj) is a successful movie director who is short tempered, arrogant and disrespectful. Chandini (Radha), a vivacious, debutante actress, falls in love with him. When Chandini openly declares her love for him in front of everyone, Bharath gets angry and slaps her.

After this blatant act of rejection, Chandini distances herself from Bharath and after approaching several other producers, her acting career takes off. On the contrary, Bharath find himself unable to forget her, and gradually becomes more and more consumed by his obsessive love for her. His obsession leads him to stop making movies altogether and become an alcoholic. Is there any possibility of a happy ending in this rocky and destructive love story? What further trials and travails does the future have in store for Chandini and Bharath?
