Insightful and inspiring, this thought-provoking tale delves into the unique friendship between for friends, who come from completely different backgrounds, but are brought together by extraordinary circumstance.
Soorya (Kunchacko Boban) is an MBA student with his whole life seemingly ahead of him, Roy is a multi-millionaire; Amir is a small-time goonda; Gauri, a fourth-semester MBBS student. She is a brilliant student in the college, but is troubled by a difficult and traumatic family life.
Each of them is dying from different forms of cancer (blood, liver, bone, lung) and they all come for treatment to a plush hospital, Pratheeksha, run by Dr. Nandakumar (Ganesh). Though they take some time to become friendly, they eventually become close. They decide to go to Malaysia to meet Soorya's girlfriend, because they want to be positive in their life. Can each of them find some meaning, acceptance and closure in life before time runs out?
The soundtrack of this movie, which features three original compositions, also features a remix version of the 1975 hit song "Yeh Dosti" from the film 'Sholay'.
It was dubbed into Tamil as 'Anbulla Kamal', which is in reference to the fact that iconic Tamil actor Kamal Haasan plays a guest role in the film.
This movie is inspired by the American film The Bucket List (2007).
The highlight of this movie is perhaps that it features Kamal Hassan in a short but inspiring and powerful cameo role after a hiatus of 21 years, in Malayalam cinema.
