Baankey ki crazy Baarat is a hilarious laugh riot with a talented ensemble cast.It is a comedy of errors when an attempted proxy groom on the dias and the family who hires him have to face the dielma of confronting people familiar to them in the mandap.Bankable actors like Sanjay Mishra,Rajpal Yadav,Vijay Raaz and Rakesh Bedi act as towers for this clean family entertainer.Satyajit Dubey and Tia Bajapayee are sufficiently easy on the eyes and perform with confidence.The music too is pretty decent and even smaller supporting actors like the Bua of the heroine, her childhood friend who secretly nurses a crush on her or the first hired groom with a cheeky sense of humor are incredibly good in their screen space.This is Rajpal Yaadav's film as he is the titular character but his antics generate more buffonish laughs than make us emapthize with his sincere human with a golden heart moments.Sanjay Mishra and Rakesh Bedi seem to be having a ball in their meaty parts.Technically neat and also engaging for most of its playing time..this makes a one time decent watch.
Pity that this film has not been promoted well in Chennai at least where I watched it.This film due to lack of publicity pre and post release will have to rely heavily on word of mouth publicity to pull it through.
