Rini and Mayank are two poor, yet much-in-love people from Dharavi. Rini is a bit crazy - she is the dream girl of many of the local boys, someone who dances in the rain, pout at her boyfriend’s sexist remarks and makes up by kissing him on the beach. She is content with her life, unlike Mayank, whose aim in life is to have his own workshop. He’s egoistic and is portrayed as an ‘old-fashioned male’. Fate comes knocking on Rini’s door when she’s ‘discovered’ by a director and is cast as the leading actress in his next film. She climbs the career ladder swiftly with the help of a sharp manager, who wants to protect her image. What follows are misunderstandings and ego clashes.
