A talented gerontologist leaves behind a lucrative job to serve the inmates at a home for the elderly. Unlike its founder, she believes that the sunset years are not to be spent just waiting for death, but to be enjoyed and lived to the fullest. Will she succeed in helping the senior citizens establish new bonds and fill their lives with fun and frolic?
Set against the backdrop of a home for the elderly, this touching tale traces the twists and turns in the life of Paromita, an intelligent young woman. She is professionally qualified as a young gerontologist, and as a result of her empathy, she ends up leaving a lucrative career as a psychiatrist in the city.
In this home she faces her boss Dr Partho Sinha, a strict disciplinarian, who has built this home for all those who can afford to live well but are not able to live either with their families or alone due to certain circumstances. According to Dr Sinha, the inmates are here to spend the sunset years of their lives in peace.
However, Paromita feels otherwise, she believes there is still a lot to live for in the sunset years too. To Paromita, even the seniors have a right to enjoy, and peace can only come when the mind is happy. Paromita fundamentally feels that an old age home is not where you are thrown out, but it can be a home where new bonds can be forged even in later years of life. This evocative saga presents a positive message that age is just a number, and life must be lived to the fullest, at all times!
