Fast-paced and fiery, this action-oriented gangster thriller follows the trials and triumphs in the life of Surya (Mahesh Babu). He is an intelligent and enterprising young man, who comes comes to Mumbai with a sole aim to become "Bhai", the most powerful gangster of the city, and rule over its mafia network. He starts his mission by recruiting rowdies for monthly salaries. He becomes impressed with and attracted to the Mumbai Police Commissioner's daughter Chitra (Kajal) and eventually falls in love with her. The amazing sequence of events that transform an ambitious young man into a mafia kingpin forms the crux of the story.
