Nearly 2000 years ago, in an act of incredible ambition and breathtaking beauty, a series of stone cave temples was carved by hand from a massive cliff wall in Ajanta, India. As a Fulbright Scholar, Walter first arrived at Ajanta in 1952 and began unlocking the mystery of the caves, but decades later this intrepid researcher is still combing the site in search of its secrets.
