Vijay is a happy go lucky engineer in love with Rekha, the charming daughter of Seth Jagdish Prasad a multimillionaire who is not so happy with his daughter's love affair. But before Vijay could marry Rekha he is falsely implicated for a crime he did not commit. What is even worse is that the key witness against him is none other than his lady love, Rekha. He is sentenced to prison. In jail he become friendly with a hardened criminal Raju and his two colleagues. He breaks away from jail with his new friends to find out the reality behind Rekha's betrayal. What will be Vijay's future? Does he able to find out the reason behind Rekha's betrayal? Or somebody else is involved in it?
