Das Vorspiel (2019)

Anna teaches violin at a music school, her husband is an instrument-maker and together they have a ten-year-old son named Jonas. At school, Anna champions young Alexander, in whom she alone sees great talent and dedicates all of her time and energy for him which causes a rift between her and her son. She withdraws from her family and increasingly spend time with Alexander while having an affair with a colleague who inspires her to join the quartet. When she fails during their joint concert, the pressure mounts and she further pushes Alexander to excel in his music. During the day of the exams, things take a tragic turn.
