Dattaputhrudu (1972)

Ramanna (Akkineni Nageswara Rao) is adopted by Dharmaiah (Mikkilineni) and Parvathamma (Shanta Kumari) as a young boy, as they do not have any children of their own.

However, Parvathamma's brother Sheshayya (Nagabhushanam) who lusts after their property and desires to possess it for himself, does not like the idea.

He frames Dharmaiah in a murder case and sends him to jail. Ramanna takes care of Parvathamma and her daughter Saroja (Venneradai Nirmala). Saroja studies in the city where she falls in love with Raja (Ramakrishna) son of Seshayya. Seshayya and Ramanna both oppose their marriage. Can destiny find a way to right past wrongs and resolve all conflicts?
