In 1985, French environmental scientist Dr. Pauline Joubert was assassinated by her hitman and lover in New York's Central Park as she prepared to reveal covert warfare technology. Decades later, in modern-day Manhattan, Cassie Cole, a hillbilly true crime blogger from the Deep South, finds herself haunted by Pauline’s murder.
