American actor Dennis William Quaid, is widely known for essaying a wide variety of dramatic and comedic roles in movies like Breaking Away, The Right Stuff, Vantage Point, Footloose, The Parent Trap and more. Quaid dropped out of the University of Houston before graduating and moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career and which lost steam in the early 1990s, after he fought anorexia nervosa that brought on when he lost 40 pounds to play the tuberculosis-afflicted character of Doc Holliday in 'Wyatt Earp'.
