Dil (2003)

Youthful and fast-paced, this multi-layered romantic drama traces the twists and turns in the life of Nandini (Neha), a beautiful college student, who happens to be the daughter of Gowri Shankar, a wealthy and powerful land mafia don.

Seenu (Nithiin), a happy-go-lucky young man also joins the same college as Nandini, the Maharaja College of Arts and Science. He belongs to a simple middle-class family.

As Nandini is Gowri Shankar's only daughter, his assistant is under strict orders to keep a close eye on her. After observing interactions between Nandini and Seenu, the assistant begins to suspect the nature of their relationship. Then, when Nandini and Seenu perform a dance sequence together at a college event, Seenu is beaten up cruelly.

Seenu is infuriated by their display of force and decides to take it as a challenge. He woos Nandini and wins her love. When Nandini's father, Gowri Shankar tries to keep them apart through force, the young couple elope together. Will their love be strong enough to defeat Gowri Shankar's hatred? Will they be successful in uniting in the sacred bond of matrimony?
