Elixir (2016)

This offbeat fantasy drama follows the fluctuating fortunes in the life of Srija (Daminee Benny Basu), a sincere woman, who leads a normal life with her husband Avik (Arindom Ghosh).

When Avik calls her to accept a parcel from an old acquaintance on his behalf, Srija agrees to help him out. Consequently, she waits at a nearby café in order to meet the acquaintance and pick up the parcel. When the waiter at the café serves what she assumes is a glass of plain water, she drinks it. However, this small act transforms her life completely.

The glass of clear liquid was not water but an elixir that magically transports Srija to a parallel universe. In the new world of fantasy, she meets Akash (Mahul) and finds herself deeply attracted to him. Meanwhile, her life in the real world deteriorates rapidly and her marriage falls apart.

Losing track of reality altogether, Srija soon finds herself at a facility for the psychologically disturbed. Here, she is offered the magical potion once more. Will Srija choose to drink the Elixir once more? What will the future hold in store for her?
