This evocative family drama delves into the trials and triumphs of two brothers Murugan and Saravanan, whose father Nallasivam is an impoverished farmer, but good-natured and generous. His younger brother, Sivaraman takes a loan of Rs. 7000 from Nallasivam and leaves for the city to make it big, with a promise to share half of his profits with his brother.
However, when he makes it big in the city, greed gets the better of him, and he abandons his family. When Nallasivam comes to him demanding his share of the profits, he agrees to give him the initial Rs. 7000, but no more. Nallasivam vows to stay in the city, teach him a lesson, and force him to pay not just himself but all the labourers in the factory their rightful earnings.
The cold-hearted Sivaraman runs over his own elder brother and murders him. When Nallasivam's young son, Saravanan tries to avenge his father's death, Sivaraman has him imprisoned on a false charge of stealing money. When Saravanan returns as Solomon several years later hell bent on avenging past injustices, how will Sivaraman react? Will Solomon succeed as an adult at what he failed to achieve as a young boy?
