Vikram Mayur, a wealthy Indian, born and raised in England, returns to his ancestral home in Bombay, India to look up his late brother's eight-year-old son, Nandu. Vikram's original idea was to take Nandu back to England to learn his family's business, but life has a way of confounding itself and disposing of seemingly logical plans.
Upon reaching India, Vikram gets to know of how well Nandu is being raised by his caring aunt, Bijuriya and falls into a quandary about whether he should separate the child from his primary caregiver.
Furthermore, as he continues to spend time in the presence of Bijuriya, he runs the risk of beginning to contemplate the ludicrous notion of throwing it all away and staying in India permanently; as he is most definitely in danger of falling hopelessly in love with her.
