Eva is a massage therapist and a divorcée who becomes friends with Marianne, a poet. When her friends introduce her to Albert, the two hit it off and begin dating. Later, when Eva realises that Marianne is Albert's ex-wife, she decides to keep her friendship a secret from Albert, while continuing to date him. How will this decision affect their relationship? Will they be able to overcome the doubts and misunderstandings that crop up in their relationship and stay together, or will they part ways?

At the start of the movie, Marianne is talking with Eva about Albert's friends (saying he has none), and has a water glass in her hand. Eva says, "Hey, I'm your friend," and in the next shot of Marianne, the glass has disappeared.

In the scene where Ellen is painting Eve's toenails in the first shot both of Eve's feet are flat on the floor and in the next her legs are crossed.

In the brunch scene at Albert's house, the bowl of strawberries keeps moving. It switches back and forth from the front and to the right of the plate of bagels as the camera angle changes.

Character Error
In the scene where Eva brings ice cream to Sarah's house for Thanksgiving she puts the ice cream in the fridge section rather than the freezer.
Trivia:
This film is James Gandolfini's next-to-last movie, who unexpectedly died of a heart attack in June 2013, aged just 51. The dedication at the end of the movie reads, "For Jim".
