Two Korean-American brothers Eli and Daniel struggle to manage their shoe shop while striking an unlikely friendship with a street wise 11 year old African American girl, Kamilla. Kamilla quits going to school, Eli struggles to manage the business while Daniel wanders off to have fun. When the Rodney King verdict ignites a string of chaos and outcry in the society, the trio are forced to protect the store and their bleak futures while learning the true meaning of being a family.
