Set among Hare Krishna cultists, presented as dope-smoking hippies fronting for drug smugglers, this movie explores concepts of nationalist Indian values, social norms, traditions, customs and cultural values.
Jasbir rebels from an unhappy family life, and becomes a drug addict in the clutches of hippies in Nepal. After several years her brother, Prashanth comes to know about her situation, and tries to rescue her. In order to do this he must face many dangerous situations, including Jasbir's own anger and resentment.
His attempt to rescue her involves encounters with pop ideologies of liberation, crooks and rapists before the final reconciliation. How this reconciliation happens forms the crux of the story.
