Acid is an ode to youth, a film about 20-year-olds entering the real world for the first time. It is the portrait of a generation looking for meaning in their lives. The main characters justify their irresponsibility and infantile behavior by the lack of communication with their parents. Their principal agony is that they grew up without fathers; but now they need to grow up.
