La Frontera (2019)

While the Colombian-Venezuelan border is closed, Diana Ipuana lives by robbing travelers who cross the desert trails near her ranch, alongside her husband and brother. The day one of their theft goes wrong, the two men are killed. Diana finds herself alone and about to give birth. She will have to deal with the pain of loss, living in solitude and the need to reinvent herself. Corruption, difficulties in accessing health, education and water as well as the coexistence of diverse cultures are part of the daily life of Diana but also of other women of the Wayuu people.
