Two young newlyweds arrive at Rome for their honeymoon, where the wife runs off to find her soap opera crush called 'The White Sheikh' which leaves her conventional, petit-bourgeois husband struggling to hide her disappearance from his strait-laced relatives who are waiting to go with them to visit the Pope and to actually find her and bring her back.
