Described as Sesame Street meets Spinal Tap, MAKE THE PEOPLE HAPPY follows the Xylopholks, New York's only animal-costumed, xylophone-playing, subway-busking ragtime band on a whirlwind, adventure-packed tour of India that spirals out of control. As Skunky, the bandleader becomes increasingly overwhelmed by the street mobs and screaming children that the Xylopholks encounter, his mental state swiftly unravels. Set amidst the riotously beautiful and chaotic streets of India's cities, this documentary promises to, in the eternal words of Skunky, 'make the people happy, or perhaps even dance.'
