Trivia:
Body Count 2: Winston and Mary Cooper.

Brenda mentions that her brother was taken away from her, his name was George. In the Maze Runner, Thomas stop at a grave with the name George on the tombstone. It is safe to assume that the grave was Brenda's brother's.

As seen in the casting, Brenda is added as a new character and Teresa becomes disliked by many characters, maybe even Thomas.

In the book the Gladers refer to Janson as the Rat-Man. It isn't until The Death Cure that we learn Janson's real name.

It is confirmed there will be a death in the film, but it matches with a death in the book.

When Brenda and Thomas are underneath the building together they come across the undead when the undead awake some sort of alpha emerges from behind them in a PlayStation game only The Last Of Us a clicker within the game looks exactly like the alpha

The plot, facts and characters from the movie are wildly different than from the book, including the story arc, the flare and character backstory and development.

Hailee Steinfeld was up for the role of Brenda.

It was rumored Emma Roberts was up for the part of Brenda. Rosa Salazar was cast instead. Both have appeared on American Horror Story (2011).

2 actors and 1 actress from this movie, Thomas-Brodie Sangster, Aiden Gillen, and Nathalie Emmanuel appeared in Game of Thrones (2011).

The director Wes Ball says the movie will diverge from the book a little bit, but will get back on track in the third installment titled The Death Cure.

Australian actress Adelaide Kane was fancasted to play the role of Brenda but couldn't get the part due to scheduling conflicts.
