Sisters Marianne and Christine Cyr have been estranged for a year when they learn of the death of their father, who wasn't exactly an angel. The sisters go on a road trip to the Magdalen Islands to spread his ashes and escape from their personal problems, without realizing that they carry both, literally and figuratively it with them.
