Krishnamma, a diligent student, attended tuition classes at Pozhikarayan's place. She excelled in her studies and ultimately passed her exams with flying colors. As Krishnamma and Pozhikarayan grew closer, their friendship blossomed into romance. However, Pozhikarayan had to leave to work elsewhere, and Krishnamma married Durai Pandi, unaware that he was struggling with infertility. Desperate to have a child, Durai Pandi sent Krishnamma to her mother's home, but she secretly rekindled her affair with Pozhikarayan. When Krishnamma became pregnant, Durai Pandi discovered the truth and attempted to harm her, but the elders in the town intervened to protect her.
