Naranathu Thamburan (2001)

This family-oriented drama depicts the trials and triumphs in the life of Ananthan Unni, a kind-hearted man constantly surprises everyone with his generosity of spirit. He goes out of the way to help everybody. When Hemalatha and her aged father are still reeling from the shock and trauma of her brother's sudden demise, they find themselves utterly vulnerable and unable to bear the pressure created by her brother's creditors. Hemalatha is doubly shaken by the immensity of the debt under which her brother had been in, and the utterly impossible burden that had been placed on her shoulders. Unable to pay back the heavy debts, they apply for a loan at the bank, and get it. In a terrible twist of fate, just as they exit the bank with the funds, the entire amount is stolen from them. Luckily, Unni comes to their rescue in the role of a police officer, but then, Hema sees him repeatedly in various roles like that of a lawyer, doctor, snake charmer et cetera. Are all these people the various disguises of one man, or are they different people who look identical in appearance?
