Natsu no Niwa: The Friends (1994)

A heartfelt coming-of-age story about three young boys who, one summer, become increasingly fascinated by an eccentric old man living alone in a house surrounded by an overgrown garden. As they form a bond with the recluse, they set to work weeding and replanting the garden, discovering more about themselves and the world around them.
