Neravanda Chengappa Prema, known mononymously as Prema, is an Indian actress who works primarily in the South Indian film industry. She made her acting debut opposite Shiva Rajkumar in the 1995 Kannada action drama Savyasachi, and has since appeared in over 80 films across all major South Indian languages in a career spanning over two decades. A recipient of the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress and a two-time winner of the Filmfare Awards, some of Prema's most memorable roles have come in the cult classic crime-drama Om (1995), the Malayalam film The Prince (1996), Devi (1999), Kanasugara (2001) and Apthamitra (2004). While her performance in Om (1995) earned the actress her maiden Filmfare and State Film Awards, it was the 2001 romantic drama Kanasugara which won her the second Filmfare Award of her career. Other significant acting credits include Nammoora Mandara Hoove (1996), Chandramukhi Pranasakhi (1999), Yajamana (2000), Dhee (2007) and Upendra Matte Baa (2017).
