Set against a backdrop of a train journey, this offbeat thriller masterfully depicts that danger faced by three innocent murder suspects, who are forced to go on the run until they are rescued by the Malayalam megastar Mammootty (as himself in a cameo appearance). Tony (Mohanlal), Hari (Jagadish) and Hitchcock (Raju), wild but warm-hearted friends, are on the train to Madras. On the way, they get drunk and have an argument with an arrogant industrialist R.K. Nair (Soman) and annoy both the man’s wife and daughter Devi (Suchitra). Arriving in Madras, Devi appears to have been murdered in a bathroom cabin. Fearing that they might be suspected, they try to run from the police, but Mammootty, who happens to be a fellow passenger, intervenes and together they find the real murderers.
