Laden with laughs, this fantasy comedy delightfully depicts the adventures of Pappan (Rahman), a happy-go-lucky young man whose life is looking up for him, as he is very much in love with his girlfriend Sarina (Lizy). However, while still in the peak of his life, Pappan (Rahman) who is a singer by profession, finds himself dead after a bike accident. In a fantastic twist to the tale, he comes face to face with The Lord of Death, Yamaraj (Thilakan) and succeeds in convincing him to give him a reprieve after it is revealed that a mistake was made and that he was meant to die only a few days later. Yamarajan allows Pappan to enter into bodies of other dead people including that of Inspector Devdas (Mohanlal), in a bid to tell his girlfriend Sarina (Lizy) that Pappan is dead, and to look forward to someone else in life. Will he succeed in his kind-hearted mission?
