The story revolves around a brave heart Barun Biswas, who raised voice against numerous gang rapes in a village called Dukhiya, where gang rapes had become a festival. These were celebrated by some political criminals. They didn’t even spare the children and older women. The police also blankly refuse to register any complaints against these powerful criminals. To bring a halt to the atrocities, Barun Biswas and his team form a forum named 'Jagaran Mancha' and embattled all the odds ultimately succeeding in forcing the police force to arrest the culprits. Eventually the accused men become successful in having Barun Biswas murdered leaving the entire village in shock and pain. Binod Bihari Dutta, a colleague of Barun's at a school in Kolkata, comes to Dukhiya in search of the truth behind Barun's murder. Binod comes to know about the goons, who have been released on bail, and the way they terrorize the village. Following in the footsteps of Barun, he also tries to motivate villagers to take a stand and revolt against the atrocities, but finds the locals frightened out of their wits and reluctant to take action. A new police officer, Animesh Dutta is posted to the village. Binod feels helpless and hence takes the desperate decision to take the law in his own hands. Gradually Binod begins to kill all the criminals one after another, while Animesh on the other hand, has his hands full trying to investigate the serial murders. By the last murder Animesh unravels the true identity of the killer and arrests Binod Bihari Dutta. What happens next…? Will Binod be freed or will he have to face criminal prosecution?
