Trivia:
This movie was a blockbuster and completed a 200 day run in theatres.

Rajinikanth played a dual role to perfection in this movie, ensuring its phenomenal commercial success and adding another feather to his already illustrious career.

Incidentally, this was the last time Radha and Nadiya had the opportunity to collaborate with superstar Rajinikanth.

Initially, Revathi and Rubini were offered the lead female roles, but when they dropped out due to date clashes, Revathi's role was offered to Radha and Rubini's role to Nadiya. This movie also became the last opportunity for Radha and Nadiya to act with Rajinikanth.
