Roorkee By-Pass (2008)

The film dwells on the relationship of a middle-aged man Manohar, with his mother-like aunt (Maasi) whom he had been very close to during his childhood. However as he grew up he and his beloved Maasi grew apart. After a long gap of 8 years, he visits her. Maasi is very delighted to see Manohar but there is something about her that disturbs him. Gradually Manohar realizes that how lonely and sad his dear Maasi is and the cheerfulness that she exudes is merely a facade to avoid sympathy from others. Manohar resolves to take care of his Maasi and in covering up for his absence tries to make her feel special in unique ways, of which one back-fires. Maasi rather than being happy is very hurt by his act. Manohar is very contrite promises her of his return and regular. But as soon he reaches home, he forgets about his promises. While Maasi is left, waiting...
