Indian film actor Sanchari Vijay is known primarily for his work in Kannada cinema, in addition to also working in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema. He made his debut in the 2011 movie 'Rangappa Hogbitna' following which he had worked in Dasavala which gave him the much deserved recognition. His portrayal of a transgender in the movie 'Naanu Avanalla...Avalu' won him the Best Actor Award at the 62nd National Film Awards. He became the third Kannada actor to have won the National Award, after M. V. Vasudeva Rao and Charuhasan. He has also sang for one of the songs of his movie.
