This historical biography traces the life of Srinatha, who was born to Bhimamba and Marayya in 1365. As a consequence of his tremendous talent in poetry, Srinatha rose to great heights and was given the title Kavi Sarvabhouma (King of poets). He was greatly respected and patronised by many kings including the Kondavidu Reddys, Velamas of Rachakonda and Deva Raya II of Vijayanagara Empire.
Srinatha was a great connoisseur of beauty, and although he was married, dedicated many of his poems to the praise of women. His works of poetry were celebrated as great works of literature and he was honoured by many kings.
Srinatha lead a lavish and luxurious lifestyle and worked as a minister in the court of Pedakomati Vemareddy of Kondaveedu. On one occasion, he manages to get his king's prestigious bejewelled knife Nandikanta Potaraju Katari, which had been taken away by Lingamanedu, ruler of Devarakanda, in return for his literary prowess. Srinatha also married the sister of another great poet Potana.
