Where did you watch this movie?

True-crime writer Ellison Oswalt moves himself and his family into a house where a horrific crime took place earlier, but his family doesn't know. He is trying to find out more about the crime so he can write a new book about it to help his flailing career. He uses some "snuff" film footage he finds in the house to help in his research, but he soon finds more than he bargained for. There is a figure in each of the films, but who or what is it? As a result, his family start to suffer (as does he), and things take a turn for the worse. Will they survive?

Character Error
The Deputy states the street address of the Ramirez family as being on Dillington Street, but the author writes Billington on his notepad.

Continuity
When Ellison first wwatches the film of the family playing in the back yard, where some of the clips are missing the wooden steps nailed to the opposite side of the tree.

Continuity
When printing out the picture of the symbol the computer shows as "printing 2 items" when it was only mentioned to print one. And when the printer prints the picture, only one paper comes out.

Continuity
During the beginning of the film, where Ashley painting a girl in red on the wall. We see that Ashley has painted the girl fully in red, however, in the next shot we can see that the girl has a white space where the red paint was before.

Miscellaneous
Ellison finds a scorpion in the attic of the house at first and later shown that the house is in Pennsylvania. While scorpions are mostly found in subtropical climates and are not native to Pennsylvania. And when Ellison mentions it to the deputy, he reacts as if it was a normal occurrence, rather than pointing out that it would have had to have been planted there.

Revealing Mistakes
In one of the last scenes, Ellison retrieves firewood from outdoors, where it is raining. He then proceeds to make a perfect, non-smokey fire. This is impossible given the humidity that would have seeped into the wood.
