Sonic, a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog from Planet Mobius comes to planet Earth to escape the evil forces that seek to harness his power of super speed. After accidentally causing a massive power outage in the city, the government hires the evil roboticist, Dr. Robotnik, to hunt down Sonic. Green Hills sheriff Tom Wachowski meets Sonic and decides to help him evade capture, from the evil Dr. Robotnik who wants to use his power for world domination and collect the rings.
