Laced with laughs, this insightful drama revolves around Ajaychandran Nair (Jayaram), a successful man who has earned a great deal of wealth in the Gulf. He has a lovely wife (Samvrutha Sunil) and a daughter (Anu Emmanuel), a quiet girl who attends the ninth grade.His father (Innocent) believes in old ways.
Ajaychandran returns home to Kerala for a holiday, but becomes addicted to the societal approval he receives when he flaunts his wealth. Addicted to the idea of gaining approval in society and earning celebrity status. he not only stays back in India, but buys a Mercedes-Benz, an old theatre, land in front of panchayat hall, promises hefty contributions for community hall and several other charitable organizations where he can display his philanthropy publicly and prominently. He undertakes running the village festival completely by himself, under the mistaken belief that the community would revere him as their golden-hearted philanthropist.
Soon his lavish lifestyle begins to wipe out his savings, and when his business in Dubai also collapses, Ajayachandran not only becomes bankrupt, but also finds himself under a mountain of debt. How will he cope with his financial crisis?
