In 1981, during one of its first rescue missions, the brand new and supposedly unsinkable rescue boat RF2 tragically goes down in Hirtshals, resulting in the deaths of 9 men. Henrik, the son of the boat's captain, launches an investigation as his father is poised to take the blame for the accident. However, Henrik encounters opposition from the townspeople, and amidst their grief, his family begins to unravel. Inspired by true events, the film delves into the complexities of loss, blame, and resilience in the face of tragedy.
