This movie serves as a sequel to “Tanu Weds Manu”, when we say sequel a perfect continuation to the prequel, not just a sequel which spells in the title. The movie starts off with a classic number rehashing the wedding of Tanu and Manu. Once that is done, it forwards to the point where they are standing outside a mental asylum. That’s where the fun starts in the sequel. Anand L.Rai has been a director of taste having a penchant to picture romance in unusual way. Whether it was Tanu Weds Manu or Raanjhanaa.
Everyone has one common perception of marriage, well can’t argue on that because many end in that way. This deals with issues on the same line with amazing humor which leaves you gasping for breath, please look out for the neat puns which will force you to laugh hard. The movie runs for 2 hours and there is not even one dull moment, keeps you up beat through out the time.
Kangana have been proving herself better with each movie she is on to, she ruled everyone with QUEEN and now in this she rocked the character “Datto Sangwan”. A de-glam look with thick Haryanwi accent, which she as perfected to detail and a attitude of a independent girl from a small family. All the traits seemed like tailor made for her, she did a brilliant job which no one can complaint a bit about. While she was at it she revives the uber chick attitude as Tanu. She was exhilarating in both the avatars and kept everyone at their edge of the seat laughing hard. Kangana you’re the QUEEN of entertainment.
Madhavan revives the role of Manu and did the geeky role to its best. He has decided to settle in Bollywood and looks very comfortable, no matter what age he is at, still a eye candy for the girls. Roles such as “Manu” are child’s play for him and he did a great job.
Jimmy Shergill, adds a great flavor due to the character which is carried over from the previous movie, his character adds the extra zing to the story. Deepak Dobriyal as Pappi is apt for the role, he brings loads of humor after Kangana in the movie, he did a tremendous job. Which was preceded by Eijaz Khan as Jassi he was a nuisance which everyone enjoyed it all the way.
The music in the movie was very catchy and had a great beat to it, which synced well. “Bano” is one peppy number which will make you want to stand up and dance, the background score well matched with the comic mood of the movie. Cinematography and editing were hand in hand covering the streets of UP to its glory.
Anand L Rai is a director to look for some neat entertainment which breathes new form of romance spelling reality with great humor. He could mark the title “New-Age Comedy” of this period. This sequel serves best and is way funnier than the previous one.
Tanu Weds Manu Returns….actually returned with a great deal of entertainment serving the Queen of entertainment on a silver platter fulfilling the hungry audience who have been craving for a outing like this. Let your hair down, relax this weekend by laughing hard and get rid of the week full of stress. Definitely worth more than one time watch!!!
No where bore..its a good watchable movie en entertainment is at its best
Kangana's acting is the backbone of the movie
