Thiruttu Payale (2006)

Manickam (Jeevan), belongs to a poor family in a village, who moves to the city to live with his uncle (Vinod Raj) in Chennai. When he accidentally captures Roopini (Malavika) and Ramesh (Abbas) having an illicit affair in his video camera, she becomes his shortcut to wealth, as she is the wife of a rich businessman (Manoj K Jayan).

Manickam blackmails Roopini and extracts money from her according to his whims and fancies, even holidaying in Australia with money extorted from her. There he happens to meet Rosy (Sonia Agarwal) and falls in love with her. Rosy tells him that she is a very rich girl from a respected family. Just as he makes the decision to propose to her, he finds that she has left the city.

While struggling with frustration and heart-break he gets a phone call from Roopini stating that Rosy was sent by her just to bewitch him, and that if he wanted her back he would have to hand over the cassette to her. Manickam decides to find Rosy and comes to know that she also loves him. She asks him to stop the extortion and gets him a job in a shop.

All is well until Rosy's stepmother comes to know about their relationship and demands a large sum in exchange for her blessing. Manickam is left with no other choice than use the cassette one last time, but Roopini's husband comes to know about it. Manickam hands over the money to Rosy's stepmother and asks Rosy to come to the airport the next day. With Roopini's husband and his goons hunting him, will Manickam succeed in uniting with Rosy at the airport?
