Hero 's Leon and Felix's plan was to spend the summer together in a summer cottage on the shores of the Baltic Sea. They wanted to be there as friends, but they also wanted to work—one on his second book, the other on putting together his art portfolio. But Nadja and Devid are also there and bring a lot of positive vibes with them. Four young people experiment with love, and it doesn't come easy for Leon. Soon the forest will also begin to burn, ash will fall, the sky will turn red, and relationships will take on a new dimension. The film by Christian Petzold (Barbara, Phoenix Bar, Transit, Mermaid), an outstanding writer-director of contemporary German cinema and acclaimed with numerous international awards, had its world premiere at one of the world's most prestigious 'A' category film festivals, the Berlinale, where it competed for the Golden Bear Award for Best Film in the feature film competition program. The film eventually won the Grand Jury Prize, the Silver Bear Award, the second most important prize of the festival. The Fiery Red Sky is the second film in Petzold's trilogy after The Mermaid.
