Pensioners Nina and Madeline have hidden their deep and passionate love for many decades from people surrounding them including Madeline's pestering daughter. Being neighbors for years now they share a hallway that acts as a bridge between the two worlds; one belonging to a widowed, doting grandmother, the other to a free-spirited, fiercely independent woman who longs to spend her life with the person she loves. Nina and Madeline share a life where they move freely in their apartments but an unexpected event brings them to face their biggest challenge where they must stay together and puts their unconditional love to test.
