This will be the first Tamil film to be made in three parts. ‘Vada Chennai’ has been projected as a trilogy, with the first installment set to hit theatres this year.

Interestingly, Vetri Maaran has simultaneously shot for the second part of the franchise during the first shoot schedule.

Since the film begins in the 1980s, the makers have spent a big amount to erect a massive retro style set for the shoot.

According to reports, the makers have shelled out close to Rs 60 crore for the project, which is easily one of the big-budgeted films this year.

This movie marks Vetri Maaran’s third association with Dhanush after churning out films like ‘Polladhavan’ and ‘Aadukalam’

The much anticipated audio of the movie 'Vada Chennai' will be unveiled on 23rd of September 2018.
