"Welcome Back" is mediocrity dressed up in glamorous robes and locales, drones and camels against the sand dunes and it is such a ham fest that it literally bursts your eardrums. The cast is stellar and yet apart from the iconic jodi of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor and to a lesser extent Paresh Rawal, none in the cast impress. The gags keep coming and the situations seem so juvenile..that you would not mind watching a Disney kiddo re- run.John Abraham flaunts his hot bod and Shruthi Hassan is the simpering damsel caught between her lover gunda and her GUNDAY bhai log.Its such a shame to see the luminous Dimple Kapadia being reduced to a bundle of jokes and newbie Ankita Srivastava struts her bikini clad bod almost in your face that even the more charming Surveen Chawla in a typical Bollywood wedding song seems like a whiff of fresh air.The songs are painful and perfectly designed to take loo/canteen breaks. This is so unwelcome..There is a scene where Akshay Kumar is shown with pigeons on his head and shoulders from the part 1 which even makes Welcome part 1 seem like Oscar material. This one wont even make to the Bollywood Karela awards.
