Superintendent Karunakar, a sincere and committed reformist has initiated an art program for prison inmates at the Calapor Central Jail.
Jyotsna, an artiste who has been enlisted to conduct the program seems inordinately reluctant and fearful as she arrives with her assistant, Ragini. The reason for her trepidation unravels itself in the form of an agonizing past involving a criminal husband who cheated on her and a delinquent son who ran away.
This challenging adversity brings with it an opportunity for healing and redemption; a second chance that Jyotsna, as a mother cannot afford to lose or fail to grasp. Will she find the courage to face her demons and overcome her fears? Will the wounded souls find healing, reformation and redemption?
